Best Connecting Rooms on the
Disney Wish for Families

Last updated May 2026

If you're traveling with family and friends, connecting rooms are one of the most sought-after options. Two staterooms with a private door between them, so everyone has their own space without splitting your group across the ship. The Disney Wish has hundreds of connecting pairs across nearly every category. Here's how to think through them.

Interactive Tool Use the Disney Wish deck plan and the "Connecting Rooms" filter to highlight every connecting pair on the ship. Hover any room to see its connecting partner, exact bed configuration, category, and location.

Why Connecting Rooms Are Worth It

Two smaller rooms connecting often cost less than one large suite while giving you more total square footage with two separate sleeping areas. Kids can get their own room and their own TV. Parents get a door that closes. It's the setup most experienced DCL families swear by once they've tried it.

Deluxe Verandah Connecting (Categories 5C, 5B, 5A)

The most common connecting pairing on the Wish. Each room has a private verandah and a queen bed. Bed configurations vary by specific room, some include an upper berth, some don't, so always verify the exact rooms before booking.

CategoryDecksBed Configuration
Cat 5CDecks 6–7Queen Bed, Convertible Sofa (some with Upper Berth)
Cat 5BDecks 8–9Queen Bed, Convertible Sofa (some with Upper Berth)
Cat 5ADeck 10Queen Bed, Convertible Sofa (some with Upper Berth)

Best for: Families of 3–4 who want outdoor space without paying concierge prices.

Tip Deck 9 and 10 midship connecting pairs are a sweet spot, higher up, more stable ride, and close to the main action on Deck 11.

Family Verandah Connecting (Categories 4C, 4B, 4A)

Step up to the Family Verandah and each room is built to sleep more people, queen bed plus an upper berth, and some rooms also include a wall pull-down. Not all Family Verandah rooms have the wall pull-down, so check the specific cabin details before booking if sleep capacity is critical.

Cat 4BDecks 8–9Queen Bed, Upper Berth (some with Wall Pull-Down)

Best for: Families of 4–5, or groups where sleep capacity across both rooms matters.

Family Oceanview Connecting (Categories 8C, 8B)

No verandah, but a meaningful step down in price. Each room has a porthole ocean view, a queen bed, and an upper berth. Some rooms also include a wall pull-down.

Best for: Active families who'll spend days around the ship and not watching the ocean from a verandah.

Inside Connecting (Categories 11A, 11B, 11C)

The most affordable option. No window, but connecting inside pairs exist across multiple decks. Bed configurations vary, some rooms include an upper berth, some don't. Note that Deck 6 doesn't have any inside connecting rooms.

The premium end. Category 3A on Decks 12–13 always includes a king bed, upper berth, and wall pull-down. Category 2B rooms on Decks 12–13 are two-room suites with a separate bedroom and living area. Category 3B sits on Deck 11, conveniently located close to main actions.
